Eric Belvin comes to Houston from Southern California where he was a freelance pianist and music director. His background is in both classical and sacred music. Originally from the Seattle area, he began music lessons when he was five and played for a local church beginning at the age of twelve. He participated in many competitions and master classes and won the Simon Fiset Chopin Festival in 2005.
Eric began attending California Baptist University at the age of 16 and now holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in Piano Performance. While in school, he accompanied numerous performing groups including the University Choir and Orchestra and was a featured soloist with the Concert Band’s performance of “Rhapsody in Blue.”
His post-college achievements include performing at the Hollywood Bowl, on television, and for the professional theater shows and auditions. In 2014 he directed “Seussical” and a Broadway Revue show at Orange Lutheran High while also working as associate of worship at Northpoint Church in Corona. He has travelled extensively, playing for choir concerts and workshops in California, Indiana, Texas, and worked as a contractor for performing artists and orchestrators, and accompanied local symphonies.
